AI agent file delivery
AI workflows create artifacts that do not belong inside a text conversation. A delivery layer gives the agent a predictable way to hand off a finished file while keeping storage and machine access separate.
What is AI agent file delivery?
AI agent file delivery is the handoff of a finished artifact from an AI workflow to a person or another authorized environment. The artifact may be a report, dataset, image, archive, build output, exported document or any other ordinary file.
The delivery layer solves a different problem from reasoning. The AI decides what work to do; Golden Drop gives the finished bytes a temporary recipient-ready URL.
Do not force binary artifacts into the conversation
A text chat is good for decisions, summaries and instructions. It is a poor transport for a ZIP archive, PDF, image set or build. A temporary URL gives the workflow a stable handoff reference while the file remains an ordinary downloadable object.
agent creates artifact→delivery link→human / authorized environmentWhere temporary delivery fits
The AI creates a report or export and returns a link the user can open in a browser.
A build, archive or evidence package is shared with the person who needs to inspect it now.
Another authorized environment can retrieve the temporary URL when HTTP download is appropriate.
Golden Drop is not a shared workspace. It gives the workflow a delivery boundary, not permanent collaboration storage.

If the file already exists in the AI workflow, use Drop directly. If the agent must first create or collect the artifact on a computer/server, use Golden Terminal for execution and then Drop for handoff.
Current limits make the handoff predictable
One supplied file stays unchanged. Multiple supplied files are bundled into a single ZIP. The lifetime is server-selected rather than chosen by the agent.
Deliver narrowly
- Name the exact artifact instead of uploading an entire workspace.
- Exclude raw credentials and unnecessary logs.
- Prefer one reviewed archive for a group of related outputs.
- Return the link with enough context for the recipient to know what it contains and that it expires.
- Use long-term storage when the workflow requires durable retention.
Keep delivery success separate from task success
An agent may finish the underlying task successfully and still fail to deliver the artifact. Treat those as separate states. “The report was generated” does not mean “the recipient has a working link.”
Conversely, a successful upload does not prove that the recipient downloaded or reviewed the file. Golden Drop confirms delivery availability, not human receipt or approval.
What an agent should do when delivery fails
Do not claim that a file was delivered until Golden returns the actual delivery result. If the artifact is too large, reduce or split it. If the link has expired, create a new delivery from the source artifact rather than pretending the old URL is still valid.
If the source artifact is no longer available, the agent should say so and reconstruct it only when the user authorizes that work.
